For solar installers
Most solar enquiries now end with “and should I add a battery?” Give visitors an honest first answer on your own site, and turn that question into an enquiry for you.
The calculator asks whether the home already has solar panels and whether there is an electric vehicle. With solar, the battery can be filled from the panels as well as from the cheap overnight window, so the estimate is adjusted upwards. An EV adds a separate line for overnight charging savings on a cheap-rate tariff.
That makes it useful in both directions: for existing solar customers considering a battery, and for new enquiries comparing solar plus battery against battery-only on a time-of-use tariff.
It is not a PV design or yield tool. It does not size an array, model roof orientation or replace your survey. It estimates what a battery could save on a time-of-use tariff, with or without existing panels, and is clearly labelled as an illustrative estimate.
Being upfront about that is deliberate: a realistic first number builds more trust with a homeowner than an optimistic one that your survey later has to walk back.
The widget shows your company name, colour, logo, phone number and call-to-action. There is no Sparky Widget branding inside the calculator. Enquiries from the “Email me this estimate” form go straight to your inbox with the visitor's inputs, and the visitor receives their own estimate by email.
If you use a CRM, add a webhook URL in your dashboard and every enquiry is posted there as well.
After checkout you fill in your branding once and copy two lines of code into any page. If you don't have a website, use the shareable calculator link instead.

This is the real calculator, branded for a made-up demo installer. On your site it shows your name, colour, logo and phone number.
Demo installer “Bright Spark Electrical” is fictional.
