Sparky Widget ("we", "us") provides an embeddable battery-savings calculator widget for UK installers (battery, solar, heat pump, and EV charging). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how it's handled.
Sparky Widget is operated by Igor Kazazic as a sole trader (private individual), not a registered company. There is no VAT number as this falls under a VAT exemption threshold.
From installers (our direct customers): company name, contact email, phone number, and payment details. Payment is processed entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details ourselves.
From website visitors who use the widget: if a visitor chooses to use the "Email me this estimate" feature, we collect the name, email address, and postcode they voluntarily provide, along with the calculator inputs they entered (electricity usage, battery size, estimated savings) and the page URL where the widget was embedded.
We do not sell, rent, or use visitor enquiry data for our own marketing. Enquiry data is sent to the installer whose widget generated it (by email and, if the installer has set one up, to their CRM webhook). The visitor also receives their own estimate by email. We act as the installer's processor for this data.
We use the following third-party services to operate Sparky Widget, each of which processes data on our behalf:
Installer account data is kept for as long as the subscription is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for billing records. Visitor enquiries are stored so the installer can see them in their dashboard (at most the 500 most recent per installer) and are deleted when that installer's subscription ends, or earlier on request. To prevent abuse of the enquiry form we briefly store a one-way hash of the sender's IP address (deleted automatically after 1 hour).

If a website visitor wishes to have their enquiry data removed from an installer's records, they should contact that installer directly, as the installer is the data controller for enquiries submitted through their widget.
The Sparky Widget calculator itself does not use cookies or browser storage to track visitors. If this changes in future (for example, if analytics tools are added), this policy will be updated accordingly.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
