Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Sparky Widget (sparkywidget.co.uk). By subscribing to or using the service, you agree to them.

Who runs this service

Sparky Widget is operated by Igor Kazazic as a sole trader (private individual), not a registered company.

What the service is

Sparky Widget provides an embeddable calculator widget that installers can add to their own website. The widget estimates potential savings from battery storage based on typical UK time-of-use electricity tariffs, and lets website visitors optionally submit their contact details to receive a quote or estimate by email.

The savings figures shown are illustrative estimates only, based on typical price patterns and the inputs a visitor provides. They are not a formal quote, financial advice, or a guarantee of actual savings. Actual results depend on the individual's usage pattern, tariff, region, and equipment.

Subscription and billing

• The service is billed monthly at the price shown on the pricing page at the time of signup.
• Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• There is no minimum contract term — you may cancel at any time via the self-service billing portal, no need to contact us.
• Cancelling stops future billing from your next billing date; the widget will stop rendering on your site once the current paid period ends.
• We do not provide refunds for partial or unused billing periods, except where required by law or at our discretion in cases of service fault.
• If a payment fails or a subscription lapses, the widget is automatically disabled until the subscription is reactivated.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the branding, contact details, and information you provide during setup.
• You are responsible for how you use enquiries received through the widget, including complying with your own obligations under UK data protection law towards the visitors who contact you.
• You must not use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the service for others.

Our responsibilities and limitations

We aim to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we are not liable for:

• Losses arising from reliance on the illustrative savings estimates shown by the widget
• Downtime or errors caused by third-party services we depend on (including Stripe, Vercel, Resend, or the Octopus Energy public API)
• Indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Ending the service

We may suspend or terminate access to the service, with notice where reasonably possible, if these terms are breached, if required by law, or if we choose to discontinue the service. In the latter case, we will provide reasonable advance notice by email.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator's place of business. If you are a consumer, you retain any protections you're entitled to under the law of your own country of residence.

Enquiry data (data processing terms). For enquiries that visitors submit through your widget, you are the controller and Sparky Widget acts as your processor under UK GDPR Article 28. We process that data only to deliver the service (emailing the enquiry to you and the visitor, showing it in your dashboard and, if you set one up, sending it to your webhook), on your documented instructions as set out in these terms. We keep it confidential, protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures, use only the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy (Vercel, Resend; Stripe for billing), help you respond to data subject requests, tell you without undue delay about any personal data breach, and delete stored enquiries when your subscription ends. You can ask us for information needed to demonstrate compliance at any time by email.
